Summer Vacation

I finished tests yesterday. Summer vacation starts! Hot! Hot! Hot! I want to go to summer festival and enjoy watching fireworks. And I will study English and somethings. Especially, I want to know about Kumamoto's history and culture. So I will go and watch around the Kumamoto. I think it is important for me to know my town. And I will read a newspaper every day. Book Review 5

I read a book 'Columbus and the New World.' This was written about Columbus's life.
Christopher Columbus was born in Italy, in 1451. At the time, a lot of people n the world thought that the earth was flat. But a lot of educated Europeans realized that the earth was indeed round. It was also of great intrest to a young Columbus. And when he was a young man, he studied geography and decided to go to sea. In 1492, Columbus received enough money for the voyage. He had big hopes for his new sea route from Europe to Asia. He and his group sailed west. And he could see land. The land was called 'the Americas.'
When I was high school student, I learned Colunbus in the history class. I wasn't interested in him. But now I am interested in him. I like his big curiosity and action. Columbus risked his life for New World. I wouldn't be able to risk my life for anything. The voyage always have romance. Someday, I want to travel around the world. Life is often compared to a voyage. There are such proverb;"A journey of a shousand miles begins with a single step." I hope I will achieve something. (206words)(total 7007words)

Essay 5 The worst day in my life

This is today!! Today will be bad because I must study for a test and post a lot of thing on my blog. I'm in a corner; I'm going to get credit or no credit.
I have a test tomorrow. The test is about Japanese. I'm Japanese but I don't know that Japanese is deep and hard. There are a lot of words which I didn't hear in textbook. Unfortunately, the range is very wide. And I cut this class six times, so I must get over 80 point in this test for getting the credit. I hate me!!
Next, I must post a lot of thing on my blog for getting Writing3 credit. There are deadline, I must post two essays and some book reviews by tomorrow otherwise I will get the credit. I didn't get the credit last year. And I must get the credit, because we have job hunting next year. I regret that I didn't post regularly. I hate me!!

The Historical Dissolution

Yesterday, the House of Representatives was dissolved by prime minister. The dissolution was said 'Historical' because it is possible to change political power from the LDP to the DPJ. The LDP is the Liberal Democratic Party. The DPJ is the Democratic Party of Japan. The LDP have political power for long time. But now their approval rating is low. And DPJ is eager to get political power. In this summer, through 40 days, the battle of election start!! (78words)

First Day of Tests

Today, I had two tests, Japanese history and physics. Both tests are very hard. But I had textbook and source book of Japanese history which I used to in high school student. So I could answer the test. But I won't get physics's credit because I couldn't answer the test. I regreted having studied physics. (55words)

Umi no Hi

Today is the beginning of the swimming season. I feel summer!! I like the sea, the summer festival and fireworks. Especially, I like firework because it is fragile and beautiful, like a life. I want to go to swimming and fireworks, but I have many tests from tomorrow. I must study for tests. (53words)

Essay 4 My Memorable Day

My memorable day is the two days my friend came my house. The friend is Yuki. She and I went to same junior high school and high school. She is nursing school student and graduate her school next year. So this summer vacation is her last one in her school days. I saw her after a long separation so I was happy.
First day, we meet at the downtown at 22 o’clock and went to my house. The day was very hot, so we sweated from every pore. Unfortunately, we lost our way. Finally, we arrived at my house and we had a chat with eating cake and soft drink after taking a shower. We talked about a lot of things, and had a good time. In the middle of the night, we slept.
Second day, we got up early and made up with talking. In lunch time, we went to my campus for eating lunch because she had never gone student’s cafeteria. After lunch, we went to my house and talking. We like sightseeing, but have no money. So we decided to go sightseeing in Kumamoto in this summer. So we are going to Suizenzi at first. I am looking forward to it!!
In evening, Yuki went to her house by bus. But she left her wallet at my home. She found it when she arrived at her house and I found it when she called me. So she came again and gave me a cake. I had a good time so much. (254words)
